EVOCOM Participates in AMEC–Postal Forum Industry Member Lunch Gathering 2026

Evocom delegates at the AMEC-Postal Forum lunch gathering with courier and postal industry representatives

The AMEC-Postal Forum lunch gathering brought the industry together as Evocom attended the AMEC–Postal Forum Industry Member Lunch Gathering on 10 February 2026, joining a broad cross-section of industry players including Citilink, Pos Malaysia, ABX Express, GDEX, City-Link, MTL and others. The lunch provided a valuable platform for practical dialogue on customer expectations, operational realities, and the shared responsibility to continuously strengthen service standards across the ecosystem.

A key highlight was the Postal Forum team’s gesture of presenting a physical copy of the Code of Practice for Postal Services (CPPS), a milestone industry reference developed by Postal Forum and approved by MCMC (Dec 2024).

Why CPPS matters

The CPPS serves as a clear, practical baseline for governance and service delivery across postal and courier operations. It establishes a common language for the industry by outlining minimum expectations around:

  • Service quality and delivery reliability benchmarks
  • Consumer protection, customer rights, and fair outcomes
  • Transparent pricing and clear disclosure principles
  • Data protection and responsible information handling
  • Complaint handling, escalation pathways and resolution discipline
  • Environmental sustainability and ethical conduct

Evocom’s commitment

Evocom welcomes the CPPS as an important step toward consistent, trust-based outcomes for customers and the industry. We appreciate Postal Forum’s leadership in strengthening governance and raising standards, and we remain committed to operating in alignment with regulatory expectations and good practice, with customer trust, service integrity, and responsible conduct at the core of how we deliver.

Why the AMEC-Postal Forum Lunch Gathering Matters

Gatherings like the AMEC-Postal Forum lunch gathering give courier and postal operators a rare chance to compare notes on service standards away from the day-to-day pressures of delivery volumes and customer complaints. With Citilink, Pos Malaysia, ABX Express, GDEX, City-Link and MTL all represented, the conversation reflected the full breadth of Malaysia’s postal and courier ecosystem, from national operators to regional couriers.

The timing was significant. Coming shortly after MCMC’s approval of the Code of Practice for Postal Services, the lunch gave Postal Forum a natural platform to walk members through what the new code means in practice, and gave operators the chance to ask questions directly rather than interpret the document alone.

For Evocom, engagements like this complement the day-to-day work of supporting logistics and fulfilment for Malaysian and cross-border sellers. Consistent, industry-wide service standards make it easier for every operator in the chain to plan, invest and deliver reliably.

Beyond the Code of Practice briefing, the AMEC-Postal Forum lunch gathering also served as an informal check-in on operational realities that rarely surface in formal meetings, such as how peak-season volumes are handled, how last-mile delivery challenges differ between urban and rural areas, and how cross-border shipments are cleared and tracked. These are the kinds of practical, ground-level details that shape whether a code of practice translates into real improvements for customers or stays a document on a shelf.

Evocom sees continued value in staying close to forums like this one. As Malaysia’s eCommerce and cross-border trade volumes keep growing, the postal and courier network underpinning that growth needs to keep pace, and events like the AMEC-Postal Forum lunch gathering are where the operators responsible for that network compare notes, flag emerging issues early and align on the standards that keep the whole system reliable for sellers and consumers alike. It is a small investment of time that pays off through fewer surprises down the line and a stronger, more coordinated postal and courier ecosystem for everyone involved. Evocom looks forward to more of these conversations as the industry works together toward higher standards. Thank you to Postal Forum and AMEC for hosting a productive and well-organised gathering.
