As part of the Global Futures Kuala Lumpur programme under Common Purpose, EVOCOM welcomed seven graduates from City St George’s, University of London on 6 July 2026.
Coming from diverse nationalities and cultural backgrounds, the graduates visited our distribution hub to gain practical insights into leadership, supply chain operations and responsible business.
The session went beyond processes and technology. It focused on the kind of leadership needed to build organisations that are efficient, sustainable and people-centred.
As part of the visit, EVOCOM showcased one of three electric motorcycles provided by Rev Charge, our partner in advancing the electric vehicle agenda. The three bikes form part of an employee trial programme, allowing our staff to experience the bikes before considering adoption.
Beautifully designed and highly functional, the bike demonstrated how sustainable mobility can also be practical, accessible and relevant to everyday working life. Through this collaboration, EVOCOM and Rev Charge hope to encourage greater EV adoption among our employees and contribute to Malaysia’s transition towards cleaner mobility.
For Evocom, hosting groups such as the Global Futures Kuala Lumpur cohort reflects our commitment to knowledge exchange between industry and the next generation of global leaders. Sharing our operations openly gives visiting graduates a first-hand look at how a Malaysian logistics company translates strategy into daily execution, from last-mile delivery to warehouse operations.
The visit also reflects Evocom’s broader focus on people development within the logistics sector. Global Futures Kuala Lumpur is one of several city-based programmes Common Purpose runs around the world, bringing early-career professionals face to face with organisations that are shaping their local economies. For the London graduates, the Evocom visit offered a window into how a homegrown Malaysian logistics provider balances operational discipline with a genuine commitment to sustainability and community impact.
Visits like this also give Evocom’s own team a chance to articulate, out loud, why the details of daily operations matter. Explaining last-mile delivery routes, warehouse workflows and fleet decisions to an outside audience of future leaders is a useful exercise in clarity, and a reminder that good logistics is ultimately about people, not just processes. Evocom looks forward to welcoming more Global Futures Kuala Lumpur cohorts in future editions of the programme.
For us, sustainability is not simply about introducing new technology. It is about helping people understand change, experience its benefits and feel confident taking part in it.
One of the most meaningful moments came from our female hub lead, Nabilah, who shared her experience working in a traditionally male-dominated environment.
She spoke about the importance of being part of an organisation that protects employee welfare, values respect and enforces clear no-harassment rules. Her story highlighted an important leadership lesson: people perform at their best when they feel safe, supported and valued.
At EVOCOM, we believe future leaders should learn not only how businesses operate, but also how responsible decisions can positively influence people, communities and the environment.
